Founding/Apostolic Pastor

Kyle Byrd

Kyle is the Founding/Apostolic Pastor of Church at The Epicenter.  In pursuit of a career in professional baseball, Kyle came to a crossroads in his life in 1985 ... professional sports or ministry.  Sensing the Lord's clear direction to sell out to his calling to ministry, he stepped off of the playing field and into the harvest field.  He was both licensed (1980) and ordained (1988) in into the Gospel ministry by his home church ... First Baptist Church in Kerens, TX.  Prior to moving to Burnet, he and his family lived in Sugar Land, TX.  Since 1989, Kyle has traveled the United States and the world preaching the Gospel to students and churches.  Through Front Line Ministries, Inc., the ministry organization that he founded in November of 1989, it is estimated that Kyle has spoken to over 3 million people in 44 of the 50 United States and 4 foreign countries.

Kyle and his wife, Robin, moved to Burnet in 2004.  They have 2 daughters, Jennifer and Kyla, both of whom are now married and live in the Houston area.  Brandon, their son, is a 2008 graduate of Burnet High school. He currently serves beside his father as the Worship/Prophetic Pastor at The Epicenter.  Kyle, Robin, and their family have committed their lives to establishing this ministry in the Texas Hill Country.  By the power of Holy Spirit, and through the vision and passion the Lord has placed in Kyle's heart to reach, develop and empower people, the future is bright for Church at The Epicenter!

Senior Worship Pastor

Brandon Byrd

Brandon Byrd was born in November of 1989 in Sugar Land, Texas where his entire life has been spent around the ministry of Front Line Ministries with his father Kyle Byrd.  However, in January of 2011, he became a part OF the ministry!

Like his father, Brandon grew up as an athlete, aspiring to play professional baseball. Through high school, he receiving multiple honors, including four all-star high school varsity years at Burnet High School in Burnet, Texas.  However, though Brandon headed to college on a baseball scholarship, his life drastically shifted to the music scene.  Having played the drums since childhood, Brandon began drumming with multiple artists in the secular and Christian genre.  During a regular night of hanging out with his friends, God chose to descend upon Brandon in a supernatural way.  That night, Brandon's life was changed forever.  He heard the call to become a minister of the Gospel, and he responded with a definitive "YES"!  Brandon was licensed and ordained into the Gospel ministry in 2012 by Church at The Epicenter.

Now, as the Prophetic Pastor of Church at The Epicenter, Brandon and his wife Caitlin's desire is to usher people into the very person and presence of God through supernatural expressions of worship and the arts.  Their passion is to see people set free by the Spirit of God ... so that they would experience not just another "day at church", rather, they would literally ENCOUNTER the Living God!

Pastor: Pastoral Ministries

Carl White

Carl & Delila White have invested a lifetime in Christian ministry. Carl attended Asbury Theological Seminary and Oral Roberts University for his education.  Delila is a registered nurse with a wide variety of experience.  They have four children and four grand children who are the center of their beautiful family.

The Whites found Church at The Epicenter in 2012.  Having purchased a home on Lake Buchanan a couple of years earlier, and believing they were settling in to "retire" after years of pastoral service across the country, and 2 years of missionary service in Italy.  However, it didn't take long after stepping into the the Epicenter family for them both to realize their ministry was FAR from over.  All of those years of pastoring and serving were merely the preparation years for what the Lord had for them at The Epicenter!

Carl now serves as the Pastor, and Delila oversees the mission emphasis of the church.

Teaching Pastor: Impact Points (small groups)

Larry Morrison

Larry and Vickie Morrison moved to Burnet from Atlanta, Georgia in 2009.  Moving to be near their children and grandchildren in Austin, they chose Burnet as home rather than living in the city again.

One visit was all it took for the Morrison's to realize that they had been led to Burnet for more than just a relocation ... God had led them here to join the Epicenter family.  Larry's passion for writing and teaching made it obvious, very quickly, that he had much to offer the people of Church at The Epicenter.  Licensed and ordained into the Gospel ministry in 2010, Larry joined the pastoral staff as Teaching Pastor and overseer of all small group ministries.

A former technical writer for Northwest Airlines, Larry now writes on Kingdom topics.  Though not working in aviation any longer, he is still an airplane nut and is literally building an airplane in his shop!  Vickie is a retired math teacher and devotes some of her time to tutoring home-schooled students at the middle school and high school levels.

Pastor/Teacher: Student Ministries

CJ Weisinger

CJ was born in January of 1989 in San Marcos, Texas.  His family moved to Burnet when he was 6 years old, and he graduated from Burnet High School in 2007.  From a young age, CJ knew he was called to be a teacher, he just wasn't sure what he was supposed to teach!  In the years he spent in college at Texas State University, CJ began to serve on the recreation team of Seek Week Camps, the summer camp ministry of Front Line Ministries ... the ministry directed by Pastor Kyle Byrd.  This service lead CJ to discovering his calling as a youth pastor, and he moved back to Burnet in 2011 to follow that calling.  CJ was licensed and ordained into the Gospel ministry by Church at The Epicenter in 2013.

CJ lives and breathes ministry to teenagers, and not just within the church walls.  He is involved with a local mentor program through the Burnet Juvenille Probation Department, striving to be a positive adult role model for young men who have been placed in the program.  Him and his wife Brianna's desire is to serve the Lord  with all of their heart, soul and mind.

Pastor: Children's Ministries

Skyler Love

Like all other pastoral leaders at Church at The Epicenter, Skyler grew up in our church!  As a high school student in Burnet High School, , she began attending our student ministry.  As she grew in relationship to the Lord, she also grew in an understanding of ministry calling.

After graduation, and through continued and increasing involvement in the ministries of our church, she married Shane Love, guitarist in the Epicenter worship band.

Skyler has several years of experience in working with children in one of our areas Christian academies.  In 2015, she began to sense the Lord's call to full-time pastoral ministry.  She is currently in her 2nd year of pastoral training through CLI (Christian Leader's Institute) ... a nationally-recognized leader in training pastors for leadership roles within the church.

In June of 2016, Skyler was hired as a Pastor Intern, with intent to serve her way into the full-time position of Pastor to Children at Church at The Epicenter.  As you can see in her picture, the components that ANY parent would want in pastor for their children just radiate from her ... joy, excitement, and enthusiasm!  We are blessed to see another leader rise-up from within our body!

Pastor: Community & Benevolence Ministries

Ferrill Standage

Ferrill and Shirley Standage moved to Kingsland, TX in 2010.  They, too, believed that they were moving to Texas to retire.  It took only 1 visit to Church at The Epicenter for them to realize that God had much more for them to accomplish!

Ferrill Standage was raised in Kansas.  He was in public school education for 36 years.  Following retirement from education, he accepted the call to serve as associate pastor in his church in Hayes, Kansas.  Since that time, Ferrill has dedicated his life to serving the people of God through the local church.  He currently serves as Pastor of Community and Benevolent Relations.

Shirley, too, a retired educator, serves alongside Ferrill in all areas of his ministry to the people of the church and community.  Ferrill and Shirley have two children who live in Colorado.
